Excellent suspension supremely smooth and such an improvement over my 1996 ventana marble peak santa cruz superlight and giant nrs. It s hard to rationalize getting a new frame when this workhorse just keeps kicking ass. My mantis is faster on the smooth stuff but i can climb steep nasty things on the ventana that i never could on the mantis even though i m not nearly as conditioned. I rode a marble peak for the last 2 years and the fuego blows it away.

It so great that the beginning work on the marble peak trail has been so successful and it looks like fun too. The x5 is so graceful at sucking up the bumps. You point this critter and it goes. The trans red paint is awesome.

The bicycle may require minimal service adjustments without the need of replacing any parts. The bicycle looks good may have minimal cosmetic only blemishes on the frame fork components parts and or accessories. The frame is fairly light has excellent suspension action and is very simple and reliable i had an el habanero that i sent to ventana to get the bushings replaced for free and they called me to say that the frame was cracked. That must have been 1993 94 and shortly afterwards my local shop owner got one of the first marble peak full suspension bikes into the country.

I have spinal arthritis and my back feels much less strain than other fs bikes. Even though the mp has 3 5 travel and the fuego has 2 8. Some work has been done on the south marble trail near the coast rd but by the time you start to tan oaks overgroth makes it impassable it certainly be great if this area could be revamped as well as the strawberry valley to south fork. This is my 98 marble peak in freeride mode.
